Revela

Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 4, 2026

Last updated: August 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Revela (“Revela,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by Sogro LLC, collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Revela mobile application (the “App”). Revela is a daily Bible companion: you share a short check-in about how you are feeling, and the App matches a Bible verse to your situation and generates a brief personal reflection and prayer.

We designed Revela to keep as much of your information on your device as possible. This policy describes the limited information that leaves your device, why, and the choices you have.

Guiding principle: your journal entries, your name and email, your streaks, and your progress are stored on your device. We do not operate accounts that copy this content to our servers. The only information that leaves your device is what is described below.

1. Information we do not collect

The following stay on your device and are not transmitted to us or stored on our servers:

If you delete the App, this on-device information is removed with it.

2. Information that leaves your device

a. Check-in and reflection text (User Content)

To generate a matched Bible verse, a personal translation, a prayer, and a closing reflection, the text and selections from your check-in are sent to our AI provider, OpenAI, for processing. This content is sent for the purpose of generating your response and is not linked to an account identity by us. It is used only to provide the App’s core functionality.

b. Subscription and identifier information

Subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat and Apple. To provide and restore your subscription, the following are processed:

If you choose to use Sign in with Apple (optional — see below), the anonymized Apple user identifier Apple provides is used as your app user ID so your subscription can carry across your devices. Sign in with Apple does not require you to share your name or email with us.

c. Voice input (optional)

Check-ins and journaling optionally support voice input using your device’s speech-recognition feature. Where speech recognition is performed by Apple, it is handled under Apple’s processing. The resulting text is treated the same as any other check-in text you provide (see section 2a).

3. How we use information

We use this information to deliver the App’s core features, to grant and restore subscriptions, and to understand aggregate product performance and reliability. We do not use your information to track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and this version of the App contains no advertising or cross-app tracking technology.

4. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell your personal information. We share the limited information above only with the service providers that make the App work, and only for the purposes described:

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Revela, our users, or the public.

5. Data retention

On-device information remains on your device until you delete it or remove the App. Information processed by our service providers is retained according to their policies and only as long as needed to provide the service (for example, subscription records are retained for as long as needed to manage and restore your subscription and to meet legal and accounting obligations).

6. Security

Information transmitted from the App is sent over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we and our service providers take reasonable measures to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss.

7. Children’s privacy

Revela is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

8. Your choices and rights

9. International users

The App and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. By using the App, you understand your information may be processed in these locations, which may have different data-protection rules than your own.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. A future version of the App may add advertising-measurement technology; if it does, we will update this policy and, where required, present an App Tracking Transparency prompt and obtain your permission before any such tracking.
